Andronis Hotels—a family-owned collection of luxury hotels and villas in Athens and Santorini—takes a step onto the Greek island of Paros with the acquisition of the Minois Hotel.
The hotel, which is scheduled to reopen as Andronis Minois in May, embraces the angular geometry of Paros and the beauty of the Aegean Sea, weaving a distinct design narrative with cubist qualities.
Following an extensive renovation by Mutiny Architecture & Design, the Paros property will boast 44 luxury suites featuring terraces and patios, while multi-bedroom suites will include private swimming pools.
Andronis Minois “resembles a small Cycladic settlement, with scattered white volumes and freely designed pathways, serving as the ideal canvas for the applied design concept,” explains Mutiny cofounder Manos Gogoulis.
The overall design story will convey a Mediterranean character through the use of white plaster both indoors and outdoors, interrupted by colored ceramic tiles, bold geometric patterns, pebbles, wood, and thatched constructions. Tiled tables, ceramic lighting fixtures, hand-painted sinks, and other artistic objects are curated to reflect the island’s cultural and geographical heritage.
The talent of Greek artists and creatives will be showcased throughout the interior, while outdoor spaces, framed by pergolas and ceramic threads, are thoughtfully “designed to offer a variety of light and shadow narratives throughout the day,” Gogoulis says.
Guests will also find a swimming pool with a vibrant day-to-night lounge deck, an outdoor gym, and a subterranean spa. The hotel’s fine-dining restaurant, OLVO, will open as an elevated lifestyle concept next spring as well.
