Six Senses has announced plans to unveil a secluded alpine retreat Kitzbühel, Tyrol, a region in the Austrian Alps, in 2026.
Nestled in a national park with the largest protected wildlife reserve of the Alps, Six Senses Kitzbühel Alps will feature a 77-room hotel at its core, along with branded residences comprising 30 apartments and 10 villas.
The private residences will feature two- to seven-bedroom apartments and villas, characterized by high ceilings and open living spaces that connect to oversized balconies and terraces for all-season use. The residences, adjacent to the wildlife reserve, will offer privacy and unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape.
Designed by London- and New York-based Martin Brudnizki, the interiors of property will draw inspiration from classic Austrian chalets. Locally sourced materials, such as stone and wood, will create a warm and timeless atmosphere. The architecture, led by IAW, will pay homage to Kitzbühel’s old town and incorporate elements from the alpine environment.
Open year-round, Six Senses Kitzbühel Alps aims to provide experiences for both winter and summer seasons. Guests will enjoy ski-in and ski-out access, as well as a spa and wellness experience. Spa services will also be available to residents, along with access to the indoor lap pool, heated outdoor rock pools, saunas, steam baths, and an indoor and outdoor gym.
As with all Six Senses locations, Senses Kitzbühel Alps will strive to be a self-sufficient community by 2030, powered entirely by solar energy, green electricity, and geothermal energy.
“We’ve worked hard to develop a property that will do much more for Alpine tourism and the local community than being yet another ultra-luxury resort,” says Michael Staininger, owner of the project.
