Concord Hospitality Enterprises Company has released details for the new Sal Y Mar Rooftop Bar, a new rooftop lounge that will sit atop the dual-branded Aloft and Element Hotel opening in Midtown Tampa in January 2021. The architect for the project is Braun Steidl, and the designer is Ellis Adams Group.
Inspired by the Riviera Maya town of Tulum, Sal Y Mar’s (Salt and Sea) casual yet sophisticated vibe will add a unique flavor to the mix of dining offerings in Midtown, with a setting and menu rich in old-world influence. Easily accessible from a dedicated elevator on the hotel’s ground floor, the rooftop lounge will offer 4,900 square feet of indoor and outdoor seating, including a covered terrace and drink rails lining the perimeter. Drawing on Tulum’s Mayan influences, the space will be dressed in earth tones and coastal organic finishes, with fresh crisp linens, bamboo ceiling, and hanging hammock chairs.
