For almost two decades, Hospitality Design (HD) magazine has annually honored a handful of designers, architects, brand executives, and owners as our Wave of the Future—those who are young enough to be considered visionary, but tested enough to be accomplished.
This year’s diverse group of honorees each brings a fresh perspective to design. They are introducing new brands and evolving established ones, lending their talents to restaurants, hotels, and everything in between. With their keen attention to detail, ability to adapt to changing times, and desire to question the status quo, these 10 honorees are helping to reshape the future of design.
Our 2020 class includes:
Julien Albertini and Alina Pimkina, cofounders + principals, AsthetÃque
Kristen Cochran, vice president of architecture + design, Ian Schrager Company
Rachael Harvey, creative director, Original Reality Group
Emily Keip, vice president of design services Americas, Hyatt Hotels Corporation
Sarah Klymson, vice president of product + brand development, Hyatt Hotels Corporation
Li Xiang, president and creative director, X+Living
Rashana Zaklit, hospitality studio director, Gensler
Rami Zeidan, founder + CEO, and Jennifer Bukovec, vice president of design, Life House
Honorees will be featured in HD magazine, and will be celebrated during the HD NextGen Forum in October* in New Orleans.
