Italian furniture manufacturer Arper has announced the appointment of Roberto Monti to the role of CEO.
The Swedish manager will spearhead the definition and development of the company’s strategic growth plans. “I am very pleased that Roberto accepted our invitation to join the Arper team,” says Claudio Feltrin, president and current CEO of Arper. “He shares our company’s values and perfectly interprets its culture and ambition to evolve and continue to be a cutting-edge company.”
Monti previously served as president of IKEA Concept, where he led the development of the brand concept and its implementation across IKEA’s global retail portfolio. He also held the titles of president of IKEA South East Europe, as well as CEO and country manager of IKEA Italia.
Monti serves as a senior advisor and board member for corporate and non-profit organizations, including ITAB Group and Associazione Italiana Imprese Familiari (AIDAF). He is also the founding director of the “Respect & Dialogue” program initiative that promotes active discourse for the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
“In Arper, we will work to build a medium and longterm international business strategy that will draw inspiration from the project ‘designing the world we live in,’” Monti says. “It will, therefore, focus on people who experience living spaces, on their needs and their feelings towards the ongoing change, with the intention of including sustainability as integral part of our journey.”
