Auberge Resorts Collection has named Richard Arnold its new chief development officer. Arnold will oversee the identification, negotiation, and acquisition of all the company’s development projects, including new construction and expansions. He will be working alongside Auberge’s CEO Craig Reid and the management team in strategizing the growth of the luxury hotel, residence, and private club brand.
“Richard has an impressive track record in hotel development both in the Americas and in Europe, and his experience will prove invaluable as we continue on our growth trajectory,” Reid says.
Arnold co-founded UK-based Kadenwood Partners in 2015, a real estate investment, capital advisory, and asset management firm focused on hotels, resorts, and mixed-use properties. He previously served as vice president of worldwide development for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, where he sought out new growth opportunities for the company around the world while focusing on strategic transactions and the discovery of new capital and development partners.
Prior to his time with the Four Seasons, Arnold lent his expertise to PKF Consulting and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. He currently serves on the Urban Land Institute’s Hotel Development Council.
Arnold holds a bachelor of commerce degree in hotel and food administration with a focus on real estate finance from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.
