San Francisco-based design firm BAMO has announced the launch of an office in Providence, Rhode Island. The 31-year-old studio’s first East Coast branch, the new outpost will support BAMO’s efforts to capitalize on strategic opportunities in Northeast markets.
The office, which is housed within the historic Wayland Building in the city’s Central Business District, will be helmed by BAMO cofounder and principal Michael Booth. Booth is a Providence native and graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design.
“We’re aligning with new opportunities in the Northeast,” Booth says. “We have wanted to expand to the East Coast for awhile, but we’ve been waiting for the right moment. We’re already pursuing new projects and strategic partnerships, and Providence will serve as an extension of our San Francisco studio. It’s the best of both worlds, well, coasts.”
