New York-based Champalimaud Design has announced Ed Bakos as its new CEO, and the promotion of Anna Beeber to the role of partner, which grows the firm’s partners to five.
Bakos, who joined the firm in 2012 as a managing director, brings forth more than 25 years of experience to his role as CEO, where he will be steering all design strategies of the company, while Beeber, who has been an asset of the firm since 2010, will focus on the expansion of opportunities in growing sectors including residential.
“Thoughtful design is at the heart of our company’s ethos,” Bakos says. “We consider ourselves as cultural anthropologists, digging deep to truly bring out the personality in everything we do, while crafting a meaningful experience.”
Beeber adds, “Alexandra Champalimaud has been a mentor to me since I joined the brand, and I am excited to join her and the other partners, working to make an impactful contribution to the studio’s vision.”
