Situated at the Sunset Harbour neighborhood of Miami, Kimpton Hotel Palomar South Beach pays homage to its waterfront setting with an interior crafted by locally based design firm, Kobi Karp Architects. Set to debut by late 2019, the boutique concept aims to evoke calm and elegance as the fifth outpost of the Kimpton hotels in Florida.
The five-story structure orients all 96 guestrooms with private balconies around a central atrium, which illuminates the lobby below. Conceived to resemble a private luxury yacht, the lobby is punctuated with custom light installations and artworks, ranging from light panels to large textiles.
A rooftop pool and two-tier roof deck on the top floor is accented with lounge seating, while the F&B selection at the hotel is run by the Altamarea hospitality group, including the Mediterranean eatery Osteria Morini on the ground floor.
