One of the few wood powdercoating lines available in the U.S., DVUV specializes in custom powdercoated MDF and birch plywood components for hospitality, retail, healthcare, education, and office projects, among others.
From tabletops and bases to wall panels and trim, UVMax® UV cured powdercoating is a sustainable alternative to liquid paint, laminate, or solid surface materials.
“Powdercoating on wood allows designers the ability to create both functional and aesthetic components in a one-coat, single-step process that takes only 20 minutes,” says Rebecca Lonczak, marketing manager at DVUV. “Furthermore, powdercoatings are durable and maintain their original color, gloss, and texture even after frequent use and cleaning. They do not experience chipping, peeling, or delamination, which is often a problem with paint or laminate.”
Located in Cleveland, DVUV works with fabricators, retailers, designers, and architects to supply components manufactured to exact specifications. The process is simple: Clients send the drawings, color standards, and quantities to the company, and DVUV will CNC machine, powdercoat, package, and ship the parts directly to you.
Design Flexibility and Custom Color Matching
One of the unique advantages of wood powdercoating is the flexibility it offers. Powder flows smoothly around curves, corners, cutouts, and through holes in a one-coat, single-step process. No edgebanding, primer, or topcoat is required and no waiting for paint to dry between layers. From an operational standpoint, labor costs are significantly reduced and productivity increases. What was typically finished in days takes only 20 minutes with powdercoating.
A variety of gloss, texture, and special effect finishes are available with powdercoating. Custom color matching is also available to any color standard including RAL, Pantone, laminate, liquid paint, or a customer’s supplied sample.
Wood powdercoating examples include:
- Wall Panels
- Tables and desktops
- Millwork
- Shelving
- Lecterns
- Fixtures
- Signage and more
