Hilton Worldwide has appointed Tom Potter as senior vice president, Caribbean and Latin America. Potter takes the helm of the region’s owned and managed portfolio, while playing a key role in the company’s expansion plans throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
“Expanding our footprint in Latin America is one of our top priorities, and I am committed to working closely with our development partners to keep this momentum going strong,” says Potter. “This growth, combined with leading innovations and best in class talent, will help keep Hilton at the forefront of the industry.”
Most recently, Potter served as area vice president, Central and South America for Hilton. Prior to that, Potter led the team responsible for the grand opening of the Hilton São Paulo Morumbi in 2002, where he then remained as general manager until 2006. Since joining Hilton in 1979 at the front desk of the London Hilton, Potter has held several management positions, gaining experience in Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Belgium, and England.
