Mineola, New York-based HVS has promoted director Christian Pucher to vice president of HVS Bangkok.
Pucher founded the company’s Bangkok office two years ago and has served clients in Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. His team conducts market studies, development feasibility studies, operator selection and management agreement negotiations, hotel property appraisals, and strategic advisory services.
“The thriving tourism industry in Thailand and across Southeast Asia brings both opportunities as well as unique dynamics for hotel investors,” says Daniel J. Voellm, HVS’ managing partner Asia Pacific. “Christian, with nine years of experience in the Southeast Asian region, has been a great addition to our team in the Asia Pacific and is already a trusted advisor to many of our clients.”
Pucher previously served as development director for Six Senses Resorts & Spas from 2006 to 2013 and brings with him an understanding of the hospitality market and the needs of regional hotel owners, operators, developers, and investors. He earned a bachelor’s degree in international hospitality management from Ecole Hôteliére de Lausanne in 2006.
