International design practice Wimberly Interiors has hired Kajsa Krause as a creative director in its New York office. The Sweden-born architect brings forth design expertise honed through work on an expansive range of luxury, boutique, and lifestyle hospitality projects across the globe. In addition to roles with Rockwell Group and Champalimaud Design, Krause cofounded her eponymous practice Krause Sawyer in 2010 and remained at the helm until 2020.
“As we reflect on our firm’s 10-year anniversary, we are tasked with the question of where we see ourselves going and who we want to help guide us there,” says Margaret McMahon, senior vice president and global director of Wimberly Interiors. “Kajsa’s extensive network and unconventional background is in line with one of our core guiding principles that diversity makes us more creative and innovative. I’m looking forward to working alongside Kajsa as she opens up new avenues for us, so we can continue doing what we love: pushing boundaries through experiential interior design.”
