Atlanta-based John Hardy Group has plans to expand to Hawaii in Q4 of 2014. The announcement comes six months after the opening of the company’s Los Angeles office and three years after opening in New York.
“We’ve challenged ourselves to keep pace with the record growth of the hotel industry in recent years, strategically placing our team where some of the most complex hotel properties have planned to invest in their assets, acquire, or build new,” says Rocky Marzzarella, director of operations for the John Hardy Group.
Led by new addition Lars Fitter, the Hawaii office will serve the market that connects the East and West. The John Hardy Group will also move its current headquarters in Atlanta to a new space in the city’s Central Perimeter area. Nate Mickelson and Eric Augur were named senior project directors in that office.
“To prepare for the decades ahead, we completed a thoughtful evaluation of our enterprise, and our unique offering as the leading development services organization,” says founder and CEO. “With the launch of our new, more visual identity, we aim to inspire with the project challenges we’ve overcome—creating and collaborating with the top investors, managers, brands, and design talent in the industry—all from our owner/developer mindset.”
The John Hardy Group has also unveiled its new site, jhgi.com, which will further integrate the Radical Innovation in Hospitality Award competition, a highlight at HD Expo, into the company’s core business. The brand has acted as a catalyst and mentor for those with ideas for hotel concepts since 2006.
