Palm Beach, Florida-based design firm V Starr has promoted Sonya Haffey to principal. Haffey joined the practice 11 years ago after previously serving as partner and founder of Urbanica Group.
“Sonya has played a major part in V Starr’s growth since she joined us in 2009, and has long been a force for diversifying the firm’s business while leading a strong team that always completes quality work on time,” says V Starr principal and CEO Venus Williams. “I am proud to officially recognize Sonya in this new position, as our team gains new faces and fosters young talent.”
Haffey adds, “We’ve been focused on broadening our portfolio; now, with the strength of our team, V Starr is positioned for growth.”
V Starr also recently welcomed three junior designers to the team: Acacia Mamalakis, who holds a bachelor of interior design from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette; Tinisha Joseph, who earned an associates of science degree in interior design from Palm Beach State College; and Gracie Tate, who received a bachelor of science in interior design from Auburn University.
