Despite the cancellation of this year’s events, WantedDesign will continue promoting design and fostering an international creative community through a lineup of digital programming across its outlets.
The WantedDesign Online Conversation Series Presented with Design Milk and Clever will comprise live talks and new Clever podcasts May 11–22. Several young graduates entering the design field will also receive recognition on WantedDesign’s various channels.
“We always told our exhibitors, participants, and partners that being part of WantedDesign is not just about the four or five days of the show, and that the quality of the communication before and after is crucial,” WantedDesign cofounders Odile Hainaut and Claire Pijoulat said in a statement. “Now that the show is taken away, it’s time to really embrace that and find original ways to best promote the exhibitors that we were going to feature.”
The cofounder continue: “We don’t have all the answers yet. A lot of our partners are figuring it out, too. We’ve had a collaborative approach since we debuted WantedDesign, and more than ever, sharing ideas, embracing the notion of empathy, and being generous in the way we all work is going to be key to succeeding.”
