The art of French dining radiates across Blue by Alain Ducasse, the famous chef and restaurateur’s newest eatery in Bangkok. Ducasse’s long-term collaborator Parisian design firm Jouin Manku has crafted the space as part of the city’s new retail and leisure destination, ICONSIAM.
The luxury restaurant aptly immerses diners in a rich palette of royal blue as it overlooks the Chao Phraya River via floor-to-ceiling glass. Its interiors complement the polished stone and glass surfaces of the upscale shopping destination, while the eatery’s wood-paneled lobby is outfitted with an entrancing bronze mesh light installation. Suspended lamps in walnut and brass warmly illuminate the dining room’s earthen upholstery and textiles, as well as its travertine floors.
Blue’s one of two private dining rooms is also washed in sumptuous royal blue with hues of silver and white, and illuminated by a chandelier composed of pleated fabric, metal, and glass fins which is suspended above the elegant banquettes.
