Departure Restaurant + Lounge Opens in Denver

Denver-based Sage Restaurant Group has introduced an outpost of Portland, Oregon eatery Departure Restaurant + Lounge in its hometown. The modern Asian concept has been adapted for Denver by Portland’s Skylab Architecture with an architecture scheme influenced by the midcentury modern airport designs, aimed to inspire adventure.


Guests are welcomed into the vibrant yet soothing venue through a sculptural entryway. Portland-based creative agency Happy Lucky Studio has infused the aeronautical interior with artwork depicting abstract patterns of cities, farmlands, and wetlands from aerial views of up to 35,000 feet. The restaurant will soon unveil a seasonal rooftop lounge with unmatched views of Cherry Creek and the Rocky Mountains.
