Leonetta, a new culinary venture from chef Ed Cotton, has debuted in Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood.
Designed by RDstudio, the interiors evoke the charm of a sun-drenched seaside villa on the Mediterranean. More than 100 live plants are woven into the space, accenting the light, airy palette and rustic wood details.
The Leonetta experience
Guests are welcomed through a foyer encased in fluted glass that leads to a reception desk, where a cozy waiting lounge sits to the left. The intimate dining area beckons from the right.
The main dining room is anchored by a backlit bar that spans the length of the restaurant. The bar is framed by curved walls and open liquor shelves that culminate in a transparent wine cellar.
Leonetta’s lush design features trees interspersed throughout, greenery cascading down columns, and verdant foliage running the length of banquettes along the windows.
Overhead, tasseled pendant lamps in gold and burgundy cast a warm, inviting glow. At the far end, an oyster bar, finished with gray glazed ceramic tiles, adds to the refined coastal ambiance.
Downstairs at Leo’s Famous
Downstairs, Leo’s Famous offers a moodier counterpart to Leonetta’s dining room.
The bar and lounge area boast plush velvet seating, arched backlit shelving, and low ambient lighting, exuding an understated sophistication for late-night gatherings.
