Lerwpl, the newest eatery from restaurateurs Barrie Bros, has debuted in the historic Albert Dock section of Liverpool, UK. Located on the Britannia Pavilion, Lerwpl was crafted by hospitality company Commercial Kitchen and Bar to exude opulence through a range of high-end finishes, including copper, oak, and marble. Existing sandstone floors are polished to accent exposed brickwork alongside the new, more contemporary material palette.
The 80-seat interior comprises two floors. The ground floor is anchored by an open kitchen and also houses Margot’s, a secluded cocktail bar. An elevated 30-seat private dining room, accessed via a spiral staircase, is situated on the second floor. The central kitchen is sheathed in white marble and topped with an elaborate bullnose copper counter, while walls are clad with bespoke oak and herringbone to absorb sound. Custom lighting and furniture animate the restaurant along with elements of greenery, like a preserved moss wall. Known as Albert’s, the private dining room is equipped with a walk-in wine cellar and private bar.
