Delhi-based design practice Studio Lotus has completed its first international F&B project, Masti, in the exuberant Le Mer district of Dubai. The contemporary eatery injects an Indian identity into the setting, emphasizing an artisanal craftsmanship that is reflected in the restaurant’s name—the Hindi word for “mischief.”
Spread across 8,000 square feet, the indoor-outdoor concept comprises an all-day dining area, bar, private dining room, an evening lounge, and the Gin Room. Whimsical details include a handcrafted stained glass elephant bar, game tables inlaid with marble, and quirky graphic prints that adorn the cushions and upholstery. In addition, the two-story, beachfront property overlooks the Arabian Gulf.
