Chef Michael Mina will open two F&B concepts in Los Angeles’ Beverly Center as part of a $500 million renovation of the 886,000-square-foot venue. Helmed by Taubman Centers, and designed by Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas of Rome-based Studio Fuksas, the renovation will include a ribbon of new skylights, a new exterior façade, a row of street-level restaurants, and a gourmet food hall by Mina on the eighth floor. Dubbed the Street, the food hall will offer 15 to 18 food concepts, and be reminiscent of great bazaars around the world.
“The Street will feature incredibly diverse cuisine inspired by the local community and the idea of bringing people together through the universal language of great food,” says Mina. “The fare will be healthy, the atmosphere casual, and the overall experience will be like no other in LA.”
The Street will offer sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills and downtown LA.
Details of Mina’s second concept for the Beverly Center have yet to be announced. Both will join eight other dining destinations, as well as 100 retail venues by top brands, when the renovation of the Beverly Center is completed in 2018.Â
