The Millstream restaurant has reopened its doors in Woodstock, New York. The seasonally driven concept occupies a 18th-century mill house in the Hudson Valley that has been reimagined by operating partner Jennifer Oz LeRoy. The space’s naturally illuminated interiors feature wood beams, an oversized fireplace, wraparound bar, and expansive windows that frame idyllic vistas of the setting. “I really wanted to do a combination of emphasizing the old features while bringing the outside in,” she says. “You want to create a seamless transition between the indoor and outdoor spaces.”
The 80-seat waterside eatery is adorned with a nature-inspired color palette conceived to ensure flexibility and warmth throughout the year. “We wanted to make sure it worked design-wise as a year-round space,” LeRoy adds. “lt has elements of warmth for the cold winter nights, with warm colors in our Club Room and bar, as well as open spaces like in our Sunroom, for those hot summer days.”
Dark cream hues adorn leather booths, which contrast moody blue walls accented by globe sconces. Similar fixtures and tones are also suspended above the bar, which shows off a handsome modern style and clean millwork. A pair of outdoor patios are also featured, accommodating an additional 25 seats overlooking the soothing river and lush greenery.
