A historic Boulder, Colorado storefront, once home to the famed nightlife spot Conor O’Neill’s, now serves as the home of the city’s ritzy new Steakhouse No. 316. The 120-seat eatery arrives on the heels of a ground-up refurbishment at the hand of New York-based studio Emily Frantz Design.
The boudoir-inspired interior is adorned with rich red tones, black lacquered walls, and curved banquettes. To further complement the masculine ambiance, damask wallpaper and tasteful taxidermy line the walls along with vintage artwork that depicts former presidents and midcentury starlets. The roots of the site are also honored with a custom, wrought iron partition that mirrors an early 20th century elevator shaft. The Carrara marble bar sweeps across the venue as its key focal point, while additional tufted red velvet seating is installed alongside mirrored cocktail tables nearby.
