PAPA Dubai is the latest F&B venue to debut at the vibrant Atrium complex, a cultural epicenter of riverside Al Habtoor City. Spread across 17,000 square feet, the concept comprises nine convivial bars crafted by locally based design firm 4SPACE. Each bar evokes an immersive sense of sophistication as they seamlessly transition from day into evening.
“We want the guests to experience each bar as its own distinctive vibe and personality, and to transform daily from a chic restaurant where they can dine in style as the evening draws to a close,” says 4SPACE cofounder and design director Firas Alsahin. “As nighttime falls over the city, the restaurant metamorphoses into an elegant party venue.”
A cohesive village-style layout creates uniformity among the individual spaces. The Rum Station features a tiki bar atmosphere complete with totem poles, bamboo accents, and greenery installed across its ceilings. Pink terrazzo defines Champagne Avenue (shown above), where bubbly textures and organic patterns adorn the arches and moldings of the space. The Gin Point and Vodka Lane both boast a black and mild steel palette enlivened by black and white terrazzo accents, while ight fixtures inspired by Mexican sombreros illuminate Tequila Road and Mezcal Street.
At Sake Alley, Japan’s Kumiki joinery methods are echoed in the wooden structure installed over the bar. Four prominent arches and an oversized mirror enlarge Wine Court, which is crafted to resemble a wine cellar. Secluded from the other bars, Whiskey Square is characterized by an imposing arched entry that leads to a classic, symmetrical environment outfitted with sensual onyx lighting that illuminates an homage to Art Deco. A duo of VIP lounges—one distinguished by a red palette and the other gleaming with copper mesh and black marble—are also included.
