Matsuhisa has chosen locally based Rowland+Broughton as its architect and interior design partner for the forthcoming Matsuhisa Denver.
“We are honored to have been selected to participate in this world-class project,” says Sarah Broughton, principal of Rowland+Broughton. “Matsuhisa Aspen is across the street from our Aspen studio, and we dine and entertain clients there frequently. As a result, we have developed a unique understanding of how the restaurant operates in relation to every detail—from management to customer service to menu design.”
The 7,800-square-foot restaurant, the brand’s third Colorado property, will be situated in Denver’s Cherry Creek North neighborhood in the Steele Creek multi-use development.
Headed by James Beard Award-winning chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, the restaurant will incorporate natural materials and serve internationally inspired cuisine.
“Customized for the Denver clientele and Cherry Creek space, the restaurant will allow diners to enjoy incomparable sensory and culinary experiences in a one-of-a-kind setting,” says Broughton.
Matsuhisa Denver is scheduled to open by the end of the year.
