Helm Equities has partnered with 21c Museum Hotels to bring the boutique hotel concept and art museum to Helm Miami, a mixed-use development in the Magic City’s Design District. Helm Equities acquired the two-acre site in 2014.
21c Museum Hotel will serve as the focal point for Helm Miami, which will also be home to a sculpture garden, expansive green space, and more than 325,000 square feet for retail, restaurants, and collaborative workspace for those in the art, fashion, and design industries.
New York-based Deborah Berke Partners will craft the interiors of the 135-room hotel, marking the 10th collaboration between the firm and hotel brand. The property will also include a rooftop pool terrace, bar and lounge, a locally inspired, chef-driven F&B concept, and art-filled meeting and event spaces. The museum portion will feature rotating exhibitions curated primarily from 21c’s extensive and varied collection as well as large-scale, interactive installations. An array of cultural programming will be hosted onsite for public engagement.
