Marriott’s lifestyle brand, AC Hotels by Marriott, has opened its fifth hotel in France, the AC Hotel Marseille Velodrome. Located in the city’s recently revitalized Prado area, the 126-room hotel is close to both the historic district and the Chanot Congress & Exhibition Center, making it convenient for both business and leisure travelers.
The design reflects the contemporary architecture of the city, and incorporates an urban palette with clean lines, hardwood floors, and hints of bright colors.
Amenities include the Oh Massalia restaurant, which serves Mediterranean cuisine and boasts a tranquil landscaped garden; and a small meeting room with space for up to 12 people.
AC Hotels was founded by hotelier Antonio Catalan in 1998, and formed a joint venture with Marriott International in 2011. Since, the brand has launched hotels in France, Turkey, Italy, Portugal, Denmark, and the U.S. In France, the AC Hotel Marseille Velodrome joins AC Hotel Ambassadeur Antibes, Juan-les-Pins; AC Hotel Nice; AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot; and AC Hotel Paris Le Bourget. Marriott recently announced that 22 new AC Hotels are slated to open this year.
