The QT Melbourne has debuted in the heart of downtown, with a façade by Sydney-based architect Angelo Candalepas. Inspired by the rag trade of the 1920s, the 188-room boutique hotel features guestrooms with bespoke furnishings and curated art.
Elements of handcrafted steel, stone, and timber establish an industrial-style ethos through the hotel. Interiors from Alexandria, Australia-based interior designer Nic Graham and architectural and design expert Shelley Indyk are enhanced through innovative art installations from curator Amanda Love, who has assembled a unique collection of video art on display in the hotel’s public spaces. Onsite dining includes the lobby patisserie the Cake Shop, the signature French-style brasserie Pascale Bar & Grill, and edgy laneway bar Hot Sauce. The Rooftop also accommodates up to 185 guests in its indoor-outdoor space overlooking the city, while bistro-inspired meeting venues can host up to 80 people.
