The first phase of renovation of the iconic Westin Palace Madrid, one of the oldest hotels in Spain, has been completed. London-based Areen Hospitality, a division of international consultancy Areen Design Services, led the efforts to enhance the 467 guestrooms and suites, embracing a new design that celebrates the hotel’s timeless appeal while incorporating a contemporary ambiance.
“Leading international hotels, such as the Westin Palace Madrid, are increasingly looking at renovation opportunities to maintain brand values and provide guests with the standard expected. Their investment provides a great return, in terms of both customer experience and building brand loyalty,” says Andrew Linwood, head of design for Areen Hospitality. “We’re delighted to have been appointed on this latest renovation project which follows on from our success on the refurbishment of Sheraton hotels in Zagreb, Bucharest and Stockholm.”
