Minor Hotels has announced plans to launch the AVANI Muscat Hotel in the Oman capital in 2020. Located west of the city in Seeb, the 250-key property will be linked to the forthcoming Al Araimi Boulevard Mall via a sky bridge, and serve as a fixture of the region, which is slated for further development.
The $50 million project will be unveiled in two phases, the first of which will entail the introduction of accommodations, an all-day restaurant, a signature AVANI Pantry, and rooftop lounge. A swimming pool and health club will also debut along with eight meeting rooms and a 10,760-square-foot ballroom. Phase two of the design will wrap two years after the completion of the main hotel, and herald the arrival of 90 serviced apartments.
Minor currently oversees 13 Middle Eastern properties across four of its brands.
