Los-Angeles-based real estate investment trust (REIT) Laurus Corporation has reimagined Baltimore’s Hunt Valley Inn, part of the Wyndham Grand Collection, with a $15 million property-wide renovation.
The 393-key hotel is located on an 18-acre site near Baltimore-Washington International Airport and Washington, DC.
Led by design and architecture firm Leo A. Daly, the revamp included the hotel’s function spaces, guestrooms, and key amenity offerings. Guestrooms feature warm colors, dark woods with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the verdant lawns.
“Hunt Valley Inn has experienced substantial growth in revenue since the repositioning,” says Laurus Chairman Andres Szita. “The thoughtful upgrades and revitalized culinary program are perfectly in step with our value-add strategy for the hospitality portfolio and are a clear reflection of the neighborhood’s stately homes and longstanding equestrian tradition.”
The Cinnamon Tree restaurant was redesigned with a blend of rustic and contemporary details, such as glass-link chandeliers, dark wood tables, tufted banquettes, velvet-like upholstered seating, and custom millwork in homage to the city’s equestrian culture.
Meeting and event spaces saw the addition of an outdoor event lawn, new indoor and outdoor pre-function spaces, and upgrades to the 33,000-square-foot convention hall.
Additional amenities include the Polo Lounge & Bar, Cafe 245, an indoor-outdoor heated pool, three tennis courts, and a fitness center.
