San Francisco-based BAMO has been tasked with redesigning the Ritz-Carlton, Chicago, located on the Magnificent Mile.
The multiphase project will include a complete reimagining of the hotel’s suites and corridors, fitness center, and the addition of a Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge, a brand standard, with plans to debut this spring.
The Club Lounge, located on the 15th floor, will provide views of the Magnificent Mile and Lake Michigan. The residentially inspired space will feature walnut hardwood floors, as well as modern walnut cabinetry accented by hues of blue, gold, and brown. A separate library will be available for public use and private events.
The redesign of the hotel’s 90 suites will offer minimalist design with upgraded bathrooms that feature modern upgrades, such as white vanities, gray linear stone floors, and separate shower and toilet facilities.
Amenities will include an enhanced fitness center with unobstructed views of Navy Pier, Lake Michigan, and the city’s downtown area.
Phase two of the enhancements will begin January 2017.
