The C. Baldwin hotel is set for a summer 2019 debut at the intersection of downtown, midtown, and Buffalo Bayou Park in Houston. Inspired by the Bayou City icon Charlotte Baldwin Allen, the hotel will serve as the centerpiece of the revamped, 3.2 million-square-foot, mixed-use Allen Center.
The design is a collaboration between local studio Rottet Studio and Kate Rohe of Philadelphia-based design studio Rohe Creative. An exterior curtain wall will be crafted by Dallas-based architecture firm Morrison Dilworth + Walls and locally based Tellespen as well.
The 354-room hotel is conceived as the social hub of the Allen Center with amenities such as a signature restaurant, luxury nail salon, activated green space, curated local retail, and 14,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
