Thai hotel company Centara Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to expand its brand by introducing new properties in Doha, Muscat, Dubai, Cuba, and Turkey. Expansion plans for its current destinations are also underway.
Doha, Qatar and Muscat, Oman mark the first Middle Eastern locations that Centara will launch. 261 guestrooms and 96 apartments will comprise the Centara Grand West Bay Hotel in Doha’s West Bay business and shopping district, while a rooftop restaurant will offer views of the city in addition to a pool and relaxation area. Two additional Doha locations are expected to open in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
Centara Grand West Bay Hotel
The Centara Muscat hotel will include 152 guestrooms, SPA Cenvaree, and a rooftop pool and event space.
The brand also partnered with global development company Nakheel to open a family-friendly location on Dubai’s Deira Island by 2018. The 4-Star beachfront property will include a water park.
Centara Grand West Bay Hotel
Centara will make its way into Cuba with the opening of the 5-Star Centara Grand Beach Resort Cayo Guillermo, which is slated to open by 2017. Mirroring the over-water villas of the Centara Grand in the Maldives, the new property in Cuba will offer around 250 keys. The brand continues to invest in the Maldives, with four new properties in the pipeline.
Located along the Koprucay River in Denizyaka, the Centara Grand Lykia World Resort & Spa will be Centara’s first foray into Turkey. The all-inclusive resort will house 449 guestrooms as well as 10 bars and 10 restaurants.
Centara currently boasts close to 14,000 guestrooms across six brands in Asia and the Indian Ocean.
