The 80-suite luxury concept Colton House Hotel has debuted in Austin’s hip South Congress corridor. Housed within a modern brick volume crafted by LEVY Architects, the latest entry into the Inherit Hotel Group portfolio features an interior design scheme by owner Simona Krug and TROO Designs that evokes a modern-yet-authentic representation of the Texas capital.
Located off the lobby, the Club Room welcomes visitors with a convivial atmosphere that comprises bespoke textures, grand bookshelves, and a custom black walnut table that can accommodate up to 16 people. The 5,000-square-foot Backyard serves as the hotel’s nucleus, anchored by three 80-year-old heritage live oak trees. A spacious deck is endowed with fire pits and seating that overlooks a lawn for gaming. Full-service private cabanas surround the heated outdoor pool as well. As for F&B options, Simona’s Coffee + Cocktail Bar is set to open later this month, as a more casual option to the elegant Parlor lounge.
Ranging from 460 to 1,170 square feet, accommodations include studios, as well as one-, two-, and three-bedroom configurations with modern kitchenettes and in-room laundry facilities. Crowning the property is the 1,200-square-foot penthouse, which features a multifunctional rooftop terrace set against the backdrop of the Austin skyline.
“We’re introducing a brand new hotel category to Austin with an all-suite-based model that blends the perks of an Airbnb stay with modern hotel amenities,” says Inherit Hotel Group president David Krug. “Colton House Hotel’s residential approach combines ample space and comfortable luxury for small groups, families, and remote workers seeking more flexibility and personalization in today’s world.”
