COMO Cocoa Island will reopen early next month in the South Malé Atoll, the Maldives, following renovations by Singapore-based Lekker Architects.
Returning with a renewed focus on holistic wellness, the updated retreat will channel the natural elegance of the Maldives with spaces conceived to promote connection with its surroundings. Natural materials will wrap the concept such as kajan thatch roofing and Maldivian coral-rock walls, while the clean, sun-drenched aesthetic will further perpetuate the resort’s 34 overwater villas and onsite spa, COMO Shambhala Retreat.
Four treatment rooms and a pilates studio have also been added to the concept, along with the elevated yoga studio that embraces lagoon views with one open side.
