Virgin Hotels has broken ground on its forthcoming Dallas property, the brand’s second currently under construction in the U.S., along with Virgin Hotels New York. Situated on a 33-acre lot acquired by Dunhill Partners, the hotel is located in the city’s emerging Design District.
Locally based design firm 5G Studio is crafting the interiors, which will include more than 200 guestrooms and suites. Featuring a midcentury modern design, the property has several F&B options including a rooftop terrace and private bar. A pool, gym, and spa will be included along with indoor-outdoor meeting spaces, a large ballroom, and the brand’s signature lounge, the Commons Club.
Virgin Hotels debuted its first location in Chicago in early 2015. Properties in Nashville and Palm Springs are already in the pipeline, while locations like Austin, Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, DC are being considered.
Virgin Hotels Dallas is slated to open at the end of 2018.
