The Dream Inn Santa Cruz in California has unveiled its multimillion-dollar renovation from Oakland, California-based architecture firm Arcsine. Managed by Woodside Hotels, the property received upgrades to the lobby, pool area, and all 165 guestrooms and suites.
Refreshed accommodations are outfitted with retro-chic décor and new furnishings. Entrances boast new tiling, wallcoverings, draperies, and upgraded corridors. Guestrooms also feature refurbished patios.
The stylish lobby makeover includes eclectic touches influenced by the vibrant local surf and beach culture. A soft palette of dark woods and earthen tones are offset with bright splashes of blue, orange, and yellow. Along with a grab-and-go café , the resurfaced beachfront pooldeck boasts four outdoor showers, an oversized hot tub, and a poolside bar.
Dream Inn’s modern American bistro concept Aquarius offers beachfront views through wraparound windows to amplify an airiness throughout the venue. A canopy comprising handmade surfboards and teardrop-shaped latticework lamps adorns the ceiling. Smooth, pebbled floors spanning Aquarius’ Jack O’Neill Lounge transition into gray slate in the dining room. Decorated with historical photographs and regional memorabilia, the lounge leads to a small outdoor patio.
The Dream Inn is also home to 3,500 square feet of flexible meeting and pre-function space.
