Construction has begun on the Dream Palm Springs, slated for completion in late 2019. Designed by architect Oswaldo D. Lopez and Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), the 169-room hotel will serve as a fixture in the revitalization efforts of downtown Palm Springs.
HBA aims to capture the idyllic California dream in its relaxed, modernist design. Abundant glass will be installed to enhance the physical connection between the landscape and water features, while open spaces will be minimally appointed in order to maximize views. Materials will be authentically installed in their natural states to infuse a sense of harmony. In addition to guestrooms, the $100 million development will house 30 private residences, numerous F&B venues, and more than 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
