Marriott International’s eco-friendly brand Element Hotels has debut in Southeast Asia with the launch of the Element Kuala Lumpur. The property has opened within the Foster+Partners-designed Ilham Tower, making it one of the tallest eco-conscious hotels in the world at just over 900 feet in height.
An open layout defines each 252 guestroom, which are flooded with natural light and furnished with modern, outdoor-inspired décor. In addition to 132 stylish studio units, several one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites are installed with kitchenettes to accommodate longer stays. All of the guestrooms feature spa-inspired bathrooms.
Trace restaurant and bar serves as the social hub of the hotel, offering guests views of the Petronas Twin Towers and beyond from the tower’s 40th floor. Four flexible meeting rooms are onsite, and wellness options include the fully equipped Motion: Fitness center and an indoor saline pool.
