The 32-room White Elephant Palm Beach is slated to open Wednesday, November 4th at the site of the former Bradley Park Hotel. The sister property to Nantucket’s White Elephant resort, the forthcoming getaway was transformed by Boston-based Elkus Manfredi Architects to convey a posh, residential-inspired warmth brought to life with a combination of neutral and vibrant colorways.
A creamy white Mizner-style façade will welcome visitors, punctuated by classic black-and-white striped awnings, terracotta roof tiles, and sophisticated black trim. A seven-foot-tall white elephant statue by artist Frederick Prescott also elevates the arrival experience, heralding a colorful collection of modern and pop art installed across the resort.
The resort’s lush U-shaped courtyard will serve as a key social hub, alongside the onsite patio and pool. The revamped interiors will evoke the spirit of a grand manor, with notes of bright pink and green to showcase the locale’s aesthetic.
Ranging from 510 to 3,000 square feet, guestrooms and suites will be anchored by backboards upholstered in vibrant palm and floral prints. The same fabrics will adorn desk chairs, while plush gray and cream tones will characterize armchairs and sofas. Custom wood arches, a key architectural focal point, frame the entryways in each chamber, along with whimsical elements, including bronze elephant-shaped door knockers and rattan ceiling light fixtures.
