Equinox Hotels has been selected by Red Sea Global to launch Equinox Resort Amaala. The luxury property will feature 128 rooms and 21 branded residences in Amaala, a wellness-focused destination along Saudi Arabia’s northwestern Red Sea coast.
The property, designed by Foster + Partners with interiors by Rockwell Group, is slated to open later this year.
Positioned at the center of Triple Bay’s luxury marina—near the Yacht Club, the Corallium Marine Life Institute, retail, and dining—the resort is developed as a sculptural focal point within the waterfront district. The architecture engages directly with the marina while framing views of the Red Sea and the Hijaz Mountains.
Amenities include science-backed sleep rooms, a 20,000-square-foot Equinox Club, immersive recovery and longevity programming at the Spa by Equinox Hotels, a rooftop magnesium pool, and five dining venues.
A sustainable vision for Equinox Resort Amaala
Sustainability is central to the project and the broader Amaala development, which aims to move beyond a “do no harm” approach to achieve a 30 percent net conservation benefit for local ecosystems by 2040.
Plans include the restoration and enhancement of mangroves, seagrass, coral reefs, and terrestrial vegetation. Once complete, the destination is expected to operate on 100 percent renewable energy with a zero-carbon footprint.
