The Fairmont Hamilton Princess, Bermuda is preparing to debut the second phase of its ongoing $90 million renovation.
This phase includes the new signature restaurant, Marcus’, headed by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson, and lobby bar and restaurant Crown & Anchor. Marcus’ highlights include an open kitchen, wood-burning barbeque pit, central bar, and 1,500-square-foot terrace.
The Gazebo wing’s 88 guestrooms have also been renovated with new furniture, fixtures, Bermudian art, and an island-inspired palette showcasing cream hues with pops of color. Marble tile will feature prominently in the bathrooms.
The resort grounds will be dropped down five feet to provide improved harbor views, and the gardens will see the addition of firepits and seating areas showcasing lounge-style furniture. A new outdoor entertainment area will also be available.
In addition to onsite renovations, phase two includes the opening of the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, located on the island’s south shore, where guests can lounge, swim, partake in water sports, or dine at a Samuelsson-developed beach bar-restaurant.
Phase two of renovations is scheduled for completion next month.
