HFZ Capital Group has selected Brazilian hospitality firm Fasano to operate the Shore Club in Miami Beach, which will be redeveloped into Fasano Hotels and Residences at Shore Club, the company’s first-ever U.S. location.
Designed by Brazilian architect and designer Isay Weinfeld, the property will feature an approximately 100-room hotel, which will open in 2017, as well as 75-residences, and will also include poolside beach houses and an amenities building. Earlier this year, Weinfeld’s design plans were unanimously approved by the City of Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board.
HFZ Capital Group purchased the three-acre oceanside property for $175 million in 2013 and anticipates investing a similar amount into renovations and expansions.
Fasano Hotels and Residences at Shore Club will join a growing Fasano portfolio that includes Fasano Rio de Janeiro; Fasano Punta del Este in Uruguay; and Fasano Boa Vista, a hotel near São Paulo. The company has plans for several more locations in Brazil and an additional hotel in New York.
