The Fontenay hotel in Hamburg will open its doors this October, making its debut as Germany’s latest architectural landmark. Set along a 150,695-square-foot plot of land along the banks of Lake Alster, the urban luxury resort concept will be designed by Jan Störmer of Störmer Murphy and Partners.
The building will boast a flowing façade clad with thousands of white porcelain tiles reminiscent of a shimmering lake. Corridors will curve around two 290-square-foot-tall open spaces at the core of the hotel, while custom furnishings will complement the unique form and geometry of the design.
A rooftop dining concept will debut, accommodating 40 guests and an additional 10 in a private space and boasting 320-degree views. The rooftop will also feature a 10,764-square-foot spa outfitted with a 215-square-foot indoor-outdoor lap pool.
