In collaboration with London-based GA Design, UK studio Foster + Partners has completed Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca in Morocco.
Located in the city’s Anfa neighborhood, an upscale residential district, the property takes inspiration from its oceanside location, with a water-facing lobby and restaurant, and balconies in the majority of the 186 rooms.
The hotel’s porte-cochère sits beneath a glowing canopy—comprised of 1,225 gold-hued fiberglass pots, which were inspired by traditional Moroccan terracotta pottery—that complements the area’s black marble floor.
Bleu, a contemporary French brasserie, features an elliptical open kitchen, wave-like floor-to-ceiling windows, and an outdoor terrace. Conceived by San Francisco-based EDG design, interiors boast white marble flooring, wood columns, and brown leather banquettes. Other F&B options include Bleu Bar, which is adjacent to its namesake restaurant; the Mint lobby lounge; and Latitude 33, a poolside restaurant and lounge also designed by EDG Design that will open next spring.
The brand’s signature Le Spa juxtaposes Moroccan elements, such as perforated lanterns and gold accents, with contrasting colors, patterns, and textures. The wellness program encompasses showers, an ice fountain, whirlpool, steam rooms, and a gym.
Additional amenities include a 1,604-square-foot resort-style pool with five private cabanas, and more than 12,400 square feet of event space that includes the 580-square-foot Atlantic ballroom—illuminated by crystal chandeliers and bronze lanterns—along with seven additional function rooms accessible from the lobby.
