The Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo has reopened following a $35 million update from New York-based architecture practice Meyer Davis. The renovation saw upgrades to the 182 guestrooms, suites, and villas as well as revamped public spaces that embrace the peninsula’s tropical landscapes with its signature indoor-outdoor spaces.
The redesigned lobby greets visitors with an open-air social hub accented with a soothing, natural palette along with rich elements from nature, such as local wood to inspire discovery. The walls of the resort are appointed with indigenous artwork from Costa Rican and other Latin American artists. The resort has also welcomed four new F&B spaces to join the existing Caracol steakhouse, such as the seafood-inspired Pesce and Bahia, which includes a wood-fired open kitchen.
