The Andaz San Diego has debuted its newly revamped event space, the Gallery, spanning just over 2,200 square feet in the lobby. Designed by Gensler, the overhauled venue is the latest space to accentuate the hotel’s modern aesthetic following a $250,000 meeting space renovation. A fixture of the hotel’s 18,000 square feet of event space, the Gallery—formerly a wine bar—can accommodate up to 200 guests.
The centerpiece of the venue is a mural created by locally based photographer Christine Finkelson, while an original piece by local artist and gallery owner Alexander Salazar is also showcased alongside two 12-foot-tall mesh giraffes that stand prominently in the Gallery’s atrium.
