Hard Rock International has announced plans to transform London’s Cumberland Hotel into the Hard Rock Hotel London in collaboration with glh Hotels. The 900-room property is located at Marble Arch on Hyde Park near the original Hard Rock Café.
Launching within the former hotel once frequented by Jimi Hendrix, the new property will honor the musical heritage of the location and the city by hosting live music from local and international artists. Signature memorabilia displays will feature prominently, and a vault of nearly 80,000 of the brand’s historical items will also be onsite.
More than 10 properties are currently in the Hard Rock pipeline, including the Hard Rock Hotel New York, the Hard Rock Hotel Berlin Checkpoint Charlie, and the Hard Rock Hotel Atlanta. The Hard Rock Hotel London is expected to open its doors in the summer of 2018.
